Entering its third year, the Festival Centro (Downtown Festival) is Bogotá’s first music and arts festival of the year. Held over five days in a variety of venues in the city’s modern downtown and historic Candelaria neighborhoods, the festival boasts an impressive lineup of national and international musical groups in addition to film screenings and literary events.

Musical groups performing include: 

The Antlers, Red O’Clock, Milmarias, Globos de Aire, Cloud Nothings, Telebit, Los Bunkers, Enjambre, Mateo Lewis, Sol Okarina, Sunny War, Esteman, Juan Cirerol, Andrés Correa, Tulsa, Alibombo, Meridian Brothers, Matías Aguayo, Kali Mutsa, La Phonoclorica, Russian Red, Son Batá Chirimía, La Pulpafonic, Bambarabanda, Quantic, Adriana Lucía, Bahía Trío, Esteban Copete y su Kinteto Pacífico, Anabella y Andrea Botero, Cynthia Montaño, El Barbero de Soccoro, Festival del Perdón, Marbelle, Puma Blanca and La Negra Grande de Colombia.

Other highlights include performances of Rapunzel, the Frog Prince, a musical revue of Kiss and a free Tango class open to the public.

Tickets range from free to $30,000 pesos.
