We all carry a photographer inside and a digital camera –  from a snazzy SLR with megas of memory to a cellphone.

When visiting Colombia there are too many choices of where to go and what to see, so we’ve decided to lend a helping hand and our photographic eye.

Here, a brief inside guide to some of those top 10 magical views, one should try to see – and of course live – to the fullest.

We begin with Cartagena and the view from the stone ramparts which surround the jewel in this country’s tourism crown. From the Plaza de Santa Teresa in this “Corralita de Piedra” one can appreciate the spires of the Old City and yellow dome of the San Pedro Claver church.

The hike to Guane, Santander from colonial Barichara along the Camino Real is steeped in history and offers stunning views of the Suaréz River.

In the middle of La Guajira department is the Carrisal desert – an awe-inspiring plain where you can chase mirages before reaching the beach at Cabo de la Vela.

And the list goes on!

But we don’t want to spoil all the fun of navigating our photo gallery.
