The 2022 concert season of the National Symphony of Colombia (OSNC) continues on April 6 (8:00pm) at Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo with a fascinating concert that has as its protagonists two important figures of the European music scene: German maestro Henrik Schaefer, director of the Folkopera of Stockholm, and acclaimed Israeli violinist Guy Braunstein who was concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic for 13 years.
The program is made up of the ‘Overture in D minor’ by 19th Century Dutch composer Hermina Dijk, the Rusalka Rhapsody for violin and orchestra written by Guy Braunstein, based on the themes of Dvorak’s opera Rusalka, A Night on Mount Bald by Mussorgsky and Francesca Da Rimini by Tchaikovsky, based on an episode of Dante Alighieri’s Divine ComedyWednesday, April 6 (8:00pm).
