Time is running out for those interested in participating in a one day seminar with the renown occupational therapist Dr. Julia Harper, and who will share her insights and experiences working with children and young adults. The seminar ‘Environment, Development and Neuroplasticity’ takes place October 17 at Casa Dann Carlton (Calle 93B No.19-44), and looks to empower educators and parents on how to deal with external issues in the skills acquiring process of children, including stress, and how all these influence their everyday decision-making.

As the founder of the Miami-based TheraPeeds, Dr.Harper has treated clients of all ages, many of whom come from Colombia. This interest in Colombia forged a relationship with educator Alexandra Vaughan, and together they are hosting a seminar that explains how “rewiring” minds can help individuals overcome emotional issues, short attention span, and improve personal self-esteem.

Emotional health is directly related to physical well-being, and the earlier we can identify this relationship, the more likely we are going to lead fulfilling lives. This is a primary objective of Dr.Harper’s visit to Bogotá, and whose fascinating research will no doubt be useful also for couples planning on parenting, and teachers who require additional skills to deal with children grappling with learning disabilities and emotional disorders.

The conference is offering group discounts and a certificate of assistance.
