Paulina Vega Dieppa, the 22 year-old Miss Colombia was crowned Sunday in Doral, Miami as the 2015 Miss Universe, winning over 88 contestants from around the world, and the first Miss Universe for the country in 57 years.
Born January 15th, 1993, Miss Vega Dieppe hails from the coastal city of Barranquilla, and studies business administration. She is the daughter of cardiologist Rodolfo Vega and Laura Dieppe. She is the granddaughter of Colombia’s legendary tenor, Gastón Vega,
Within moments of the announcement, Colombia celebrated her win, in which the first runner up in the 63rd edition of the competition was Miss USA, Nia Sanchez of Las Vegas.
