Donizetti’s “L’Elisir D’Amore” at Teatro Mayor

The classic opera by Gaetano Donisetti, “L’Elisir D’Amore” and one of the most beloved works of the Italian composer comes to the main stage of Teatro Mayor, and co-production with the Ópera de Colombia and Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra.
Based on a libretto by Felice Romani, this landmark production is set in Colombia’s La Guajira department, and marks the debut of acclaimed film director Sergio Cabrera as sage director. The three performances will conducted by Venezuelan Music Director, Manuel López-Gómez.
