Quatuor VOCE (France) and Gabriel Sivak

Over the past 15 years, the Quatuor Voce has become one of the most eclectic and adventurous quartets on the music scene. The French quartet has received numerous awards and regularly work on commissions from modern composers such as Bacri, Cresta, Finzi, Markéas, Mantovani, Moultaka and Looten. The quartet given their music to several silent film from directors FW Murnau and Buster Keaton.

In this exciting concert, the quartet joins the Franco-Argentine composer Gabriel Sivak to give shape to a colorful and diverse program, where the works of Claude Debussy and Gabriel Sivak will be performed. Since 2012 the quartet has interpreted Sivak’s music in international concert halls, and the collaboration includes the work ‘Suite Capoeira’ for the album ‘Itinéraire’, released by the Alpha Classics label in 2018.

Quartuor Voce also works regularly with several notable artists, including Yuri Bashmet, Gary Hoffman, Nobuko Imai, Bertrand Chamayou, David Kadouch, and Juliane Banse. After receiving a nomination from the Cité de la Musique in Paris, the quartet was named ‘Rising Star’ by the European Concert Hall Organization (ECHO) for the 2013-2014 season.
