Renowned singer Nidia Góngora, a leading voice of Colombia’s Pacific music, will release her debut solo album, Pacífico Maravilla, on Saturday, April 12 (8:00 PM).
After 25 years as founder and lead singer of Canalón de Timbiquí – multiple winners of the Petronio Álvarez Festival and Latin Grammy nominees – Góngora embarks on a new artistic journey. Having collaborated with acts like Bomba Estéreo, Ondatrópica, and British producer Quantic, she now presents a deeply personal project. Pacífico Maravilla blends ancestral rhythms with contemporary sounds, evoking the riverbanks, mangroves, and marimba melodies of her homeland. With powerful drums and haunting vocals, Góngora reaffirms her role as a guardian of tradition while offering a fresh perspective on Pacific folklore.
