The National Ballet of Spain will deliver three performances of the classic work ‘La Bella Otero’ with artistic direction by the acclaimed choreographer Rubén Olmo. The ballet’s score will be conducted by Musical Director Manuel Busto and interpreted by the musicians of the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia.
The performances are as follows: May 5 (8 p.m); May 6 and 7 (5 p.m).
“That one of the most famous women of her time was from a town in Pontevedra is what attracted me to the story of Bella Otero. I really wanted to choreograph her, but I knew it had to be with a great ballet. Directing the National Ballet of Spain has given me that opportunity: I have put dance at the service of the plot to tell the life of an amazing woman, using everything from folklore to contemporary dance” – Ruben Olmo.
Tickets range in price from COP$55,000 to COP$220,000.
